Description

GEO_LR2007_2013 reports the region of Liberia where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.

Labels identify the modern geographic units (groups of counties) contained in each integrated region. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. The 2013 sample has greater detail in variable GEOALT_LR2013. The 1986 sample has boundaries that cannot be harmonized with the 2007 and 2013 regions and is not included in GEO_LR2007_2013.

In 2013, Monrovia is included within South Central region; Monrovia was enumerated separately in the 2007 survey.
