Description
For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module and had experienced physical or sexual abuse, DVHFEMASOC indicates whether they sought help from a women's association to stop that abuse.
Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, DVHFEMASOC is largely comparable across samples.

DVHFEMASOC is a country-specific variable and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is part of a series on help sought for abuse, which is included in Phase IV forward of the standard domestic violence module.
