Description

UNWANTPGENDHOW reports how the woman had terminated a past unwanted or unintended pregnancy: by induced abortion, by menstrual regulation, or by some other means. This variable labels groups "D and C" under "induced abortion"; the former term refers to dilation and curettage, a surgical procedure in which the narrow part of the uterus is dilated and the uterine lining is scraped off.
