Description

HCMNM2 indicates whether the woman reported a "private clinic" as a source for male condoms. This response category is country-specific to Namibia.

Some samples in the "HCM" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

HCMNM2 is combined with HCMNM1 (private hospital) in HCMPRIVHOS (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2013 Namibia sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using HCMNM2 are encouraged to review HCMPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
