Description
For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module and had experienced physical or sexual abuse, DVHCHILD indicates whether they sought help from their son or daughter to stop that abuse.

Comparability
DVHCHILD has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
DVHCHILD is a country-specific variable and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is part of a series on help sought for abuse, which is included in Phase IV forward of the standard domestic violence module.
Universe
- Jordan 2007: Ever-married women age 15-49 who were selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, and who have experienced physical or sexual violence at any time from their husband.
