Description

DIABETESDIAG indicates whether the respondent has ever been diagnosed with diabetes (by a health professional).

Comparability

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, DIABETESDIAG has no comparability problems.

Comparability - Standard DHS

DIABETESDIAG is a country-specific variable for most phases of the DHS. In Phase 8, the variable CHD07 is included as a standard variable in an optional module on chronic disease.
