Description

DVADISHUS indicates whether the female respondent believes a husband is justified in hitting or beating his wife if she disrespects him.

Comparability

Apart from universe differences, DVADISHUS has no comparability issues.

Users should be attentive to wording changes across phases, particularly the removal of a prefacing sentence, noted in the "Comparability – Standard DHS" section, below.
