Description
COUTRVOMIT indicates whether the woman respondent said, in response to an open-ended question, that vomiting indicated a child sick with a cough should be taken to a health facility or health worker for treatment. This response did not appear on the survey form, but rather was constructed from written-in "other" responses.

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, COUTRVOMIT is largely comparable across samples.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question about signs of illness with a cough that indicate the child should be taken to a health facility is included in Phase III of the standard DHS questionnaire. COUTRVOMIT is a country-specific response category.
