Description
GEOALT_VN1997_2002 indicates the region of Vietnam where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.
Labels identify the provinces in the categories of "Project" and "Non-Project". "Project" and "Non-project" labels refer to the provinces that were targeted in the Population and Family Health Project of the Committee for Population, Family and Children. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. The variable GEO_VN1997_2002 divides the country into seven regions.
