Comparability

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, AIDANTALK (V838A) largely has no comparability problems. Attention should be paid to question wording across survey phases V and beyond, where the question wording changes from "did anyone talk to you about..." to "were you given any information about..." See Standard DHS Comparability section.

Comparability - Standard DHS

AIDANTALK (V838A) first appears in Phase V of the Standard DHS using the question wording, "During any of the antenatal visits for your last birth, did anyone talk to you about: Babies getting the AIDS virus from their mother?"

In Phase VI, the wording changes slightly to ask, "During any of the antenatal visits for your last birth, were you given any information about: Babies getting the AIDS virus from their mother?"
