AIDFAITHLOWR indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the respondent reported remaining faithful to one's partner(s) reduces the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.

Comparability - Standard DHS
A question asking, "Is there anything a person can do to avoid getting AIDS or the virus that causes AIDS? What can a person do?" is included in Phases III and IV of the standard DHS questionnaire. AIDFAITHLOWR is a country-specific response category.

- Gabon 2000: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS.
- India 2019: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS, in households selected for the state module.
- Senegal 1992: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS and believe it can be prevented.
- Senegal 1997: All women age 15-49.
