Description

ALDRUNKEV indicates whether the woman has ever gotten drunk on alcohol.

Comparability

Apart from some difference in question wording, the meaning of ALDRUNKEV is comparable across samples.

In some samples, women were asked a direct yes/no question about whether they had ever gotten drunk. In other samples, the "no" value is based on the response "has never gotten drunk," while the "yes" response is recoded from answers reporting how often the woman had gotten drunk in the past 3 months.
