For women who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, ANMALAMOQ_01 indicates whether she took the antimalarial drug amodiaquine to prevent malaria while pregnant (for the last birth). Common trade names for amodiaquine include Camoquin and Flavoquine.
Comparability
Apart from slight differences in question wording, ANMALAMOQ_01 has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
ANMALAMOQ_01 is based on a question about antimalarial drugs taken during pregnancy, which is included in Phase IV forward of the standard DHS questionnaire. ANMALAMOQ_01 is a country-specific variable.
