Beginning in Phase IV, the standard questionnaire asks, "During this pregnancy, did you take any drugs in order to prevent you from getting malaria? Which drugs did you take to prevent malaria?"

In Phase VII, the standard question wording changed from an open-ended question to "During this pregnancy, did you take SP/Fansidar to keep you from getting malaria?"
