An open-ended question about where one can get tested for the AIDS virus is included in Phase V forward of the standard DHS questionnaire. ATKE1 is a country-specific response not included in the standard DHS modules.

- Kenya 2008: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS who have not been tested for HIV/AIDS.
- Kenya 2014: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS and have never been tested for HIV/AIDS living in households selected for the male interview.
