CDSINGNONE indicates whether no one sang songs (including lullabies) to or with the respondent's youngest surviving and co-resident child age 3-4 in the past 3 days.

The 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016 Senegal surveys first ask, "Who most frequently facilitates (NAME)'s learning activities?" This is followed by the open-ended question, "What are these learning activities?" A response of "yes, no one" in CDREADNONE indicates the respondent did not report singing songs as a learning activity.
Comparability — Togo [top]
The 2013 Togo survey asked whether anyone sang to the child. A response of "no" to that question was recoded as "1--Yes, no one (sang to child)" for CDSINGNONE.
