Description

For women who recently used a male condom during sexual intercourse, CONUSYPREG indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported using a condom to avoid pregnancy in the last 2 months.

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, CONUSYPREG is largely comparable across samples.

  • Burkina Faso 1993: Women age 15-49 who have had sexual intercourse and used a condom in the last 2 months.
  • Central African Republic 1995: Women age 15-49 who are not currently married and used a condom in the last 4 weeks, or who are currently married or living with a man and used a condom in the last 4 weeks with someone who was not their husband/live-in partner.
  • Cote d'Ivoire 1994: Women age 15-49 who have had sexual intercourse and used a condom in the last 2 months.
  • Burkina Faso: 1993-W, 1993-C, 1993-B
