Description

FCDINDEX_ALL (GIDX_x) reports the index number of the daughter in the mother's birth history (BIDX_ALL). This numbering system allows researchers to identify to which daughter a female circumcision question applies.

FCDINDEX_ALL consists of a set of eight separate variables, covering the respondent's youngest daughter (FCDINDEX_01) up to her oldest daughter in the age range for the female circumcision variables (FCDINDEX_08). IF FCDINDEX_ALL is included in a data extract, all eight of these variables are included in a researcher's data file.
