Description

FP1STUSLVKID (V310) reports the number of living children the woman had the first time she used a contraceptive method. The same information is also reported in FP1STUSGPKID, except responses are top-coded at 4+ children in that variable and women who have never used contraception are coded as "9."

Comparability

Apart from changes in the universe and slight question wording differences, FP1STUSLVKID (V310) has no comparability problems.
