Description

For women who are not currently using a method of contraception, FPNONPRIVFW (V3A00N) indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported a "private fieldworker" as a source of family planning.

Users should be careful to distinguish this variable from FPNONPUBFW ("fieldworker" under the public medical sector category).

Comparability

In addition to universe differences, the wording of this response category varies slightly across samples. Most commonly, this response option was categorized under a "private medical sector" header and was worded as "fieldworker." Some samples diverged from this standard convention, using instead variations or combinations of "health worker," "community health worker," and "community-based distribution agent." Exceptions are noted below.
