FPPILLPACK (V372) is included in the standard DHS questionnaire for Phases II, III, and V. While it was removed from the standard questionnaire for Phase VI, this variable is kept in the standard DHS recode manual for Phase VI.

In the 2005 Ethiopian survey, this variable originally included users of the Pill or condoms. To increase comparability across samples, supplemental programming was used to parse out women who were using condoms, so the universe for FPPILLPACK for this sample now only includes users of the Pill.
