Description

For women who experienced fistula, FSSURGERYYN indicates whether the woman had surgery to treat the problem.

Apart from universe differences, FSSURGERYYN is comparable across samples.

Comparability - Standard DHS

Prior to DHS Phase 8, FSSURGERYYN is not included in the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is included in both phases (for use with Phases VI and VII of the standard questionnaire) of the module on fistula. In Phase 8, this variable has the standard name FI11 rather than a country-specific name.
