Some samples in the "HCM" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

HCMZW2 is combined with HCMZW8 (ZNFPC clinic) and HCMZW14 (ZNFPC mobile clinic) in HCMPUBFPC (all public family planning clinics) for the 1994 and 1999 Zimbabwe samples.

Additionally, HCMZW2 is combined with HCMZW8 in HCMPUBFPC for the 2005, 2010, and 2015 Zimbabwe samples.

Though HCMZW2 is a country-specific response, this variable is combined with other responses in HCMPUBFPC, a variable that encompasses all public family planning clinics/associations as sources of male condoms.
