Description

HEALTHSTATUSF (V176) reports the woman respondent’s perception of her own health on a five-point scale, ranging from 1 for Very Good to 5 for Very Bad.

Self-reported health status is a measure commonly included in health surveys of adults. The U.S. National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) includes a similar variable, but the responses range from 1 for Excellent to 5 for Poor.
