Description
HHDIABCONSENT indicates whether permission was granted for the household member's blood to be drawn and tested for blood glucose level (as an indicator of diabetes) or, if not, why not. Interviewers read a statement about blood glucose testing and requested permission to draw and test the individual's blood for glucose levels; blood was drawn only if consent was given by the persons themselves (if adults) or by a parent or guardian (if a minor).
