Description

HUSAGE (V730) reports the age of the woman's husband or co-resident partner.

Comparability

Apart from slight universe differences, HUSAGE (V730) is largely comparable across samples. Most commonly, this question was worded as "How old was your husband/partner at his last birthday?" In some cases, it was worded as "How old is your husband currently?" or some slight variation.

In most cases, women who were currently married or in a union were included in this universe. However, in some cases, as noted below, there were exceptions to this standard.
