Comparability

Along with universe differences and slight variation in question wording, the lists of possible responses to INJLASTPER (V790) vary across samples. To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses a composite coding system: broad categories share a common first digit (1 for health professionals, 2 for drug sellers, 3 for traditional healthcare workers, 4 for non-healthcare persons, and 5 for others), while the following digits show detailed categories available in only some samples. The meaning of "other" in a given sample depends on the categories specified for that survey. For the question wording and response categories appearing on the questionnaire for surveys of interest, consult the Survey Text tab.

Comparability - Standard DHS

INJLASTPER is included in the standard DHS questionnaire for phase IV only.

Comparability — Burkina Faso [top]
