Description
KIDCURAGEMO_ALL (B19_x) reports the current age of the child, in months, at the time of the survey. If the child has died, KIDCURAGEMO_ALL reports the number of months since the child was born.
KIDCURAGEMO_ALL consists of a set of twenty-one separate variables, covering the most recent birth (KIDCURAGEMO_01) up to the twenty-first-most-recent birth (KIDCURAGEMO_21) for a female respondent of childbearing age. If KIDCURAGEMO_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.
Information for this variable was collected on all births for a woman, up to a maximum of twenty-one births. In many cases, data were hypothetically collected on up to twenty-one births, but no women in the survey had so many births (e.g., no woman had 19, 20, or 21 births). If, for example, no woman in a survey had 21 births and only blank values were included in the original DHS file, then KIDCURAGEMO_21 would not be available for that survey in IPUMS-DHS.

Apart from universe differences, KIDCURAGEMO_ALL (B19_x) has no comparability problems.
