Prior to Phase 8, MLSRCBROCH is a country-specific variable not included in the standard DHS questionnaire. In Phase 8, this variable has the standard name ML501E and refers to malaria messages heard in the past 6 months.
Comparability — Mozambique [top]
The 2018 Mozambique survey reports whether messages were seen on "advertising poster/t-shirt/pamphlets/brochures".
Comparability — Tanzania [top]
The 2015 Tanzania survey asks specifically about the messages "Malaria Haikubaliki" and "Maliza Malaria" in the past year.
