OTHILL2WKTYP reports the type of illness the child had in the past 2 weeks.
Comparability
Along with universe differences and slight differences in question wording, OTHILL2WKTYP differs across samples in the number of response categories. Some samples include specific illnesses, while others include general illness classifications. To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding with the first digit(s) providing the category of illness, and the last digit distinguishing between specific illnesses, when this additional information is available.
