Description
PCNUM reports the number of personal computers owned by the household. The related variable PC indicates whether the household has a personal computer.
The information in PCNUM is taken from the household record and applies to household residents. Researchers may wish to exclude visitors (coded "2") using:
RESIDENT when women, children, or births are the unit of analysis
HHRESIDENT when household members are the unit of analysis
RESIDENTMN when men are the unit of analysis
HHRESIDENT when household members are the unit of analysis
RESIDENTMN when men are the unit of analysis

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, PCNUM is largely comparable across samples.

- Benin 2006: All women age 15-49.
