Codes and Frequencies
PCNUM reports the number of personal computers owned by the household. The related variable PC indicates whether the household has a personal computer.
The information in PCNUM is taken from the household record and applies to household residents. Researchers may wish to exclude visitors (coded "2") using:
HHRESIDENT when household members are the unit of analysis
RESIDENTMN when men are the unit of analysis
Comparability — Index
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, PCNUM is largely comparable across samples.

PCNUM is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS household questionnaire.

The 2017 Jordan survey asks, "How many computers/tablets do you have in total in household?"
- Benin 2006: All women age 15-49.
- Jordan 2007: Ever-married women age 15-49.
- Jordan 2009: Ever-married women age 15-49.
- Jordan 2012: Ever-married women age 15-49.
- Jordan 2017: Ever-married women age 15-49.
