Description

SALTEST3 (HV234A) indicates whether the household's cooking salt contains iodine.

The information in SALTEST3 is taken from the household record and applies to regular household residents, not temporary visitors. The related variables SALTEST1 (HV234) and SALTEST2 also report about iodine in cooking salt, but with more detailed information on the level of iodine found. For information on the rationale for collecting information on iodine content in salt, see SALTEST1.
