Codes and Frequencies
For women who had symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection in the past 12 months, STIADHWYN indicates whether they sought advice or treatment from a "professional health worker" or "in a sanitary structure" for this problem.
STIADHWYN has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
A series of closed-ended questions about sources of STI treatment are included in Phase IV of the Standard DHS. However, STIADHWYN is a county-specific variable that is not included in any of the standard DHS questionnaires or recodes.
- Rwanda 2000: Women age 15-49 who have ever had sex and who had symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection for which they sought treatment in the last 12 months.
