Description
TOBIDI indicates whether the respondent smokes bidis (small, hand-rolled cigarettes made of unprocessed tobacco wrapped in leaves).
Comparability
Apart from slight differences in question wording, TOBIDI has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
Questions involving tobacco use are included in the standard DHS questionnaire beginning in Phase IV. TOBIDI is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
