Description
GEO_KE2014_2022 indicates the region (counties) of Kenya where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.
Labels identify the modern geographic units (counties) contained in each integrated region. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. The variable GEO_KE1989_2022 indicates the respondentâs province.

Comparability
The boundary between Mombasa and Kwale changed slightly, so the two counties are combined for consistent geographical footprints. The sample-specific variables GEO_KE2022 and GEO_KE2014 provide greater detail.
