(DVHGOV)
Sought help to stop violence: Dedicated government agency
Codes and Frequencies
Description
For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module and had experienced physical or sexual abuse, DVHGOV indicates whether they sought help from a relevant government agency to stop that abuse.
Comparability
Apart from slight differences in question wording, DVHGOV is largely comparable across samples.
Comparability - Standard DHS
DVHGOV is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is based on a question included in Phase V forward of the standard domestic violence module.
