WSTATSELECT (V043) indicates whether the respondent was selected for the woman's status module.
Comparability
Apart from universe differences, WSTATSELECT (V043) has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
WSTATSELECT (V043) is included in the DHS files in Phases IV and V only.
In the original DHS files, V043 is set to "Not applicable" for samples without a women's status module. In IPUMS-DHS, the WSTATSELECT variable is displayed only for samples with a women's status module.
