Description

KIDBIRTHMO_NP (B1) reports the child's month of birth. It is only available for Nepali samples.

Comparability

KIDBIRTHMO_NP (V006) has no comparability problems across Nepali samples.

Nepal and Ethiopia use different calendars than the other DHS countries, and Nepali/Ethiopian months do not directly correspond to Gregorian months. For this reason, two country-specific variables are released for only Nepalese and Ethiopian samples: KIDBIRTHMO_ET for Ethiopia and KIDBIRTHMO_NP for Ethiopia.
