Description

ANSYMDOC_ALL indicates whether the woman sought advice or treatment from a doctor for pregnancy complications.

ANSYMDOC_ALL consists of separate variables, covering the most recent birth (ANSYMDOC_01) and, in some cases, additional births, up to, potentially, the sixth-most-recent birth (i.e., ANSYMDOC_02, ANSYMDOC_03, ANSYMDOC_04, ANSYMDOC_05, and ANSYMDOC_06).

  • Bangladesh 2004: Ever-married women age 10-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey and who experienced complications with her last pregnancy.
  • Bangladesh 2007: Ever-married women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey.
  • Morocco 2003: Women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey.
  • Pakistan 2006: Ever-married women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey and who experienced some pregnancy complication.
