Description

HCFNE1 indicates whether the woman reported a public national hospital as a source for female condoms. This response category is country-specific to Niger.

Some samples in the "HCF" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

HCFNE1 is combined with HCFNE2 (public regional hospital) and HCFNE3 (public district hospital) in HCFPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2012 Niger sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using HCFNE1 are encouraged to review HCFPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
