Codes and Frequencies
CERVCANLWHEN reports when the respondent was last tested for cervical cancer.
Comparability — Index
In addition to universe differences and slight differences in question wording, CERVCANLWHEN varies in the number of categories reported. To maximize comparability, IPUMS DHS uses composite coding with "Within the last 3 years" having a first digit of "1" and "4 or more years ago" having a first digit of "2." The second digit provides further detail when this additional information is available.
Comparability - Standard DHS
CERVCANLWHEN is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
