Description
FCPERFDAU (G114) reports who performed the daughter's circumcision.
The related variable FCPERF reports who performed the woman respondent's own circumcision.
Comparability
Along with universe differences and slight differences in question wording, FCPERFDAU (G114) varies across samples in response categories. To increase comparability, IPUMS-DHS codes all health professionals with a first digit of "1" and all traditional circumcisers with a first digit of "2." The second and third digit supply more detailed information (e.g., "Trained nurse/midwife" is coded "104").

FCPERFDAU (G114) is not included in the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is included in all three versions of the DHS module on female genital cutting and is a standard variable in DHS Phases 4, 5, and 6.
