The standard questionnaire first asks, "Do you know of a place where a person can get condoms?", and then asks where a person can get female condoms (implying that "condoms," broadly, are male condoms). Many surveys specifically ask, "Do you know of a place where a person can get male condoms?" (emphasis ours), especially when there is not a follow-up question about female condoms. Some surveys only ask whether the woman knows a place to get condoms, without a follow-up question about female condoms.
