Description
IDEALBTHINT (V615) reports the best number of months or years between the birth of one child and the birth of the next child, according to the respondent.

Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, IDEALBTHINT (V615) is largely comparable across samples. Most commonly, respondents were asked to report length of time in months or years. Exceptions are noted below.
