HCMPRIVNURSE indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the female respondent reported a private nurse as a source for male condoms.

HCMPRIVNURSE has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question on known sources for male condoms is included in the standard DHS questionnaire in Phase III forward. However, HCMPRIVNURSE is country-specific and is not part of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is included as an integrated variable in IPUMS-DHS to increase comparability across samples.
